What would you change?

     We spend so much of our lives worrying about one thing or another.  We worry about getting up on time, getting to work on time, what other people are thinking about us, how we are going to afford a new card, how are our kids going to turn out, and so on and so forth.  We do worry very well.  Why is that?  Because we've been taught to.  
     If you found that you only had a short time to live, do you think that you would continue to worry about all the inconsequential things that we worry about or would you choose to just live the rest of your days finding happiness?
     I read an article recently about the top five regrets of the dying. Those that have come to the end of their lives and look back at what they wish they would have done.  I learned a few years ago to always live my life to not have regrets.  I tell people in my life how much they mean to me so that if I were gone tomorrow, they would know and if I were gone tomorrow they would know how much I love having them in my life.  And yet so many people don't take the opportunity to tell others how much joy they bring to their lives.
     We also don't take the opportunities to just enjoy life each day we are alive.  We constantly distract ourselves with things that are meaningless, with our stories, with anything.  What would life be like if you were to decide to just look for the joy in life?  To see everything that is right in your life instead of what is wrong.  To stop worrying about things that you can't control and just let things flow.
     When doing hypnotherapy with people, they are in a very relaxed state where nothing matters.  When they come out of the trance, they are still in that state of just allowing life to be as it is.  They are able to forget all the worries of the day for a short time and to see how peaceful it is.
     I invite you to start to look at everything that is meaningful to you in life each day.  To find gratitude for what is going right.  No matter how dark things seem, there is always something to be grateful for in life.  It may be your friends, your health, your children, your pets, so many things that we can find joy in if we just allow ourselves to do so...............
