Tis the Season to be Jolly

Ho ho ho……This is the time of year that we are meant to be jolly and yet I see a lot of people that are very frustrated and unhappy.  It is the holiday season, marking for many religious holidays and bringing us to the close of 2013.
This is a good time of the year to reflect on what this year has brought us.  For many it has brought highs, lows, crisis, love, new friends, the releasing of old friends and everything in between.  This is a time of year to take stock as we move into 2014.  What do we want to take with us and what do we want to leave behind?
When I work with people, I am always in wonder of the things that they choose to hang onto that are not useful.  They are habits that have been formed that were useful at one time, but have long since outlived their purpose, but yet we hang onto them for dear life, because they are what we know.
The "unknown" can be scary.  Yet this is not true.  What we really fear is what we know.  We are afraid of repeating it, afraid of releasing it and not knowing who we are without it.  How can we fear what we don't know, the "unknown".
I invite you to take a look at all that you want to keep in your life and keep it in mind so that you can manifest more of it.  Take a look at what is not useful to you, ask yourself why you are hanging onto it.  Allow yourself to feel the true power you have given it and then allow yourself to release it.  Catch yourself when you are repeating it and take a few deep breaths in and once again release it.  It may take several times before you are able to really let go of it, yet if you are diligent, you will find that letting go of what is not useful can be very liberating.  And we want to start 2014 with as little baggage as we can.  Enjoy the season…………………..
